Our Process
The interior is just as special as the outside, if not more. This is a place where our clients spend most of their time, rather than looking from the outside.
We make sure the interior of your car feels like new and immerses all of your sense to maximize the enjyoment you get from your vehicle.
1. The Wipe Down
We begin by wiping down all surfaces in the vehicle that are not regularly contacted by persons inside the car. This includes the dash, gauge cluster, center console, seat trim, rocker trim, and overhead trim. We utilize a rejuvenator and/or leather conditioner that have a mild aroma and a stain sheen unless otherwise requested by our client. The vents, nooks, and crannies are vacuumed out and delicately agitated to remove any dust/debris. Cracks and joints between panels are scraped free of debris.
2. Plastics
Any gloss plastic surfaces receive attention from polish on our 1" DA polisher to correct mild scratches and wear. They also receive a thin coat of synthetic sealant afterwards to provide a gentle protective coating.
3. The Seats
We gently agitate the seats with a combination of steam and specialized leather or fabric soaps. Our goal is to perform the least invasive cleaning that achieves the desired results to remove grease, stains, and debris. High contact surfaces are agitated with a mixture of gentle all purpose cleaners, leather cleaners, and suede/Alcantara cleaners as needed.
If needed, leather softener and restoration is applied to seat covers and primary contact surfaces.
We allow the vehicles natural tones and sheens present themselves, and we avoid slippery, greasy, glossy coatings where needed. we also utilize products with mild scents that do not overwhelm the senses.
3. Glass
We use fresh microfiber towels and glass cleaning compounds to remove VOC oils and dirt from the vehicle glass surfaces, including windshields, windows, mirrors, and clear plastic surfaces.
4. The Carpet
Carpets should always be last.
We begin with a thorough vacuum and hair removal, noting any damaged or worn areas. Afterwards, we use heated carpet cleaners to thoroughly extract any soil from the carpets. We intentionally do not spray cleaniner and brush with drill brushes because this introduces an excessive amount of water into the carpets, soaking through to sound deadening material, and leading to mold and mildew.
Once the carpets are cleaned, we direct the carpet fibers to a visually appealing and natural appearance, and restore the floor mats with all purpose cleaner and satin rubber/vinyl dressing.
